2021: From December untill March 2022 Lotus presented teasers, short movies with details of the new car.

2022, March 8: Website Motor1.com showed patent images submitted by Wuhan Lotus Cars Co., Ltd

2022, March 9; EU dealer meeting in The Netherlands, introduction of the new car. At that moment a prototype was already in The Netherlands for some weeks. A well kept secret! Also the name of the new car was already known (but not to the public).

Lotus Eletre

The Eletre delivers a number of firsts for Lotus – the first five-door production car, the first model outside sports car segments, the first lifestyle EV

The Eletre is 4WD, has a battery capacity that’s over 100kWh and with power from 600hp. A 350kW charger will deliver a 400km (248 miles) range in just 20 minutes. The car’s target maximum WLTP driving range is 600km (373 miles).
