Lotus Cars, the sportscar division of Group Lotus plc, is pleased to announce
the appointment of a new Lotus dealership franchise in the Netherlands:

The contract with leading Dutch car dealer group, Hessing was signed this week.
Lotus will be housed in a new 5,300 square meters facility in Utrecht. This
showroom, which includes showrooms and workshops over three floors, will be officially opened on
22nd September 2005.
In the meantime Hessing will be representing the Lotus brand at the “Monaco at
Maas” in Rotterdam, on 07th August 2005.
Mr. Renaud Gasc, General Manager of Lotus Cars -Europe, said: “I would like to
welcome Hessing to the Lotus brand. This new dealership will enable us to grow the Dutch
market for Lotus both with the current Elise and Exige range of sportcars and the
forthcoming future products to be launched over the next few years. Holland is a very important
market for Lotus and we are delighted to team up with such a professional organisation to help
introduce the Lotus brand to more fans, enthusiasts and keen drivers.”
Mr. Jan Groen, Managing Director of Hessing, “We are delighted to take on the
Lotus franchise in Utrecht. Lotus will join our other prestige marques Lamborghini,
Bentley, Maserati and Rolls Royce, so our new showroom will house all five marques creating a
fabulous centre for sports and luxury cars.”
Hessing will be Lotus’s second dealership group in the Netherlands. Van der Kooi
Sportscars,
which has successfully represented Lotus for many years with facilities in both
Amsterdam and
Lochem, will continue with its Lotus franchises.
