Lotus has been awarded a Webuser Magazine Bronze Award for its new
website.
Group Lotus, one of the
world's leading sportscar manufacturers and automotive engineering
consultancies, has been awarded the "Bronze Award for Best New
Websites" by the UK's best selling internet magazine, Webuser.
The new Lotus corporate
website was launched in October this year and includes extensive
information on both Lotus Cars' and Lotus Engineering's capabilities.
It offers a range of interactive features, detailed history of Lotus,
and member's only sections for Lotus Club International (the Official
Lotus Club) and ProActive Engineering (the official industry
newsletter of Lotus Engineering), as well as a link to the recently
launched online shop,
.
Within its review Webuser
Magazine comments "A new website for British sports car maker Lotus
has purred its way on to the net. It's split into 3 separate sites,
and features plenty of information and mouth-watering photos. If this
months wage packet wont stretch to a Lotus Elise, the new online store
stocks slightly more affordable items such as clothing, sunglasses,
ties and calendars."
Sherine Yap, Group Lotus'
Global Brand Communications Manager said "We are delighted to have
received this award for our new website. We recognised the need to
utilise the internet as a point of contact for customers, clients and
fans around the world and have succeeded in making the site as
appealing and informative as possible. Of course we won't stand still,
and will continuously develop and where necessary improve the site,
both as web technology progresses and in response to visitors
feedback."
