Lotus to franchise the Lotus Driving Academy worldwide

  • More customers will now be able to enjoy the pure driving experience of Lotus cars

  • Lotus is to develop a global network of licensed driver training partners

The Lotus Driving Academy is initiating a franchising programme to create a global network of Lotus Driving Academies in which to offer its fantastic training packages to driving enthusiasts around the world. Currently catering for over 2,000 visitors a year out of its base at Lotus’ HQ, Hethel, the franchising programme aims to increase this number several fold with the introduction of new international sites throughout 2016.

Jean-Marc Gales, Chief Executive Officer of Group Lotus plc, stated: “The Lotus Driving Academy was originally established in 1999, offering a comprehensive range of driver training and experience packages for customers to relish the benchmark handling and pure driving experience of Lotus cars. The driver training packages have been developed and fine tuned over the years to keep pace with the progression and increased performance of Lotus cars, while staying true to Lotus philosophies. I am pleased to announce that with this new franchising programme many more Lotus fans and driving enthusiasts around the world will be able to experience Lotus cars on track and fulfil their driving ambition.”

The Lotus Driving Academy is offering an opportunity to become a licensed partner of Lotus, buying into a successful business model and becoming part of a global network of Lotus Driving Academies. This new initiative will take the Lotus brand to new market territories with Lotus Hethel at the centre of the worldwide Lotus Driving Academy network.

Franchisees will receive a turnkey package, which includes a complete suite of start-up assets and will become a direct business partner of Lotus. Prospective partners will be carefully selected by Lotus to ensure that the high level of quality and instruction is replicated around the world. Each and every franchise will go through a rigorous review process and instructors, coordinators and service technicians will undergo a comprehensive training programme to ensure Lotus’ high standards are met in all areas.
